Hello! I’m Jules Bulhof, LPC (they/them), and I’m passionate about providing compassionate, individualized, person-centered therapy. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from Southwestern University and my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from McNeese State University.
My passion for counseling began early in life, inspired by generations of helping professionals in my family and shaped by growing up in a predominantly LGBTQIA+ family. These experiences fostered a deep appreciation for the uniqueness of every person’s story and ultimately led me to pursue a career where I could support others through life’s challenges.
I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ individuals and adolescents, while welcoming clients from all backgrounds and walks of life. My therapeutic style is warm, authentic, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs and goals. I have a friendly, approachable personality and tend to be very conversational in session because I believe therapy works best when it feels like a genuine human connection rather than a clinical conversation. I strive to understand each client’s unique experiences and perspectives, creating a space where you feel heard, accepted, and empowered to grow. While therapy often involves difficult conversations, I also believe there is room for humor and laughter when it helps make the process feel more comfortable and authentic.
Reaching out for therapy is a courageous step, and you deserve a therapist who will meet you with empathy, respect, and encouragement. My goal is to build a trusting relationship where you feel safe to explore, heal, and challenge yourself while knowing you don’t have to navigate the journey alone. When you’re ready to take that next step, I’ll be here to walk alongside you and support you every step of the way.
