Hello! My name is Mike Israel, and I’m passionate about helping people work through life’s challenges, find healing, and create the life they deserve. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from UMass Boston and a Master’s in Social Work from Walden University.
My journey toward counseling began with a personal tragedy when I was 14 years old—a close friend of mine completed suicide. That experience left me with many unanswered questions and sparked a lifelong commitment to supporting others in understanding their struggles, finding inner peace, and building resilience.
In therapy, my approach focuses on self-compassion and healing from within. I strive to help clients forgive themselves, address inner conflicts, and cultivate self-love. I believe that by working through what’s happening internally, we can create meaningful changes in our external lives.
I feel a strong connection with my clients when I see them returning to sessions, actively engaged in their journey, and making progress toward their goals. My aim is to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow.
Outside of work, I’m an avid hiker who spends time on the trails at least three times a week. I also enjoy kayaking and camping whenever I get the chance, as being in nature rejuvenates my spirit and keeps me grounded.
If you’re ready to begin your journey toward healing and self-discovery, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. Let’s work together to create the life you envision!
