Hi, I’m Jasmin Cartagena and I’m a Licensed Master’s Social Worker (LMSW) in Arizona.
I began my education journey at Baylor University with a Bachelors in Public Health. This led to a few years of experience working with nonprofits specifically focused on empowering and supporting women and children. This ignited my passion for the field of social work, and I went on to pursue my Master’s in Social Work from Arizona State University. Throughout my graduate studies, I immersed myself in the intricacies of the therapeutic process, fostering a deep-seated desire to specialize in counseling as my chosen career path.
In my therapeutic practice, I am dedicated to crafting an environment that is not only safe but also exudes warmth, facilitating a conducive space for your healing journey. My approach includes a fusion of strengths-based and person-centered methodologies, emphasizing your role as the expert in your own life.
My diverse experience spans working with both adults and adolescents, where I use a range of modalities, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. My expertise encompasses a spectrum of issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, life transitions, anger and stress management, relationships, and women’s issues.
Beyond my role as a therapist, I find joy in connecting with friends, immersing myself in outdoor activities, and thrifting fun pieces for my home.
