My name is MaryLynn and that is my name preference. I graduated from ASU with a BA in Psychology and GCU with a MS in Professional Counseling. I had a new direction in my career due to my life experiences and wanting to give back and help others.
I believe we have many purposes in life, and counseling is one of mine. I am very passionate about people finding their inner strength, resiliency and the ability to transform into the person they are meant to be. The most powerful moment in counseling I have with a client is the moment the “light bulb” goes off and things make sense, or they make the connection. I believe my best quality as a counselor is I easily connect with people, and they can sense they are in a safe space.
My life experiences help me to be empathetic, nonjudgmental and the ability to meet people where they are at. I feel privileged and honored with each person who trusts me to share their story. I do not take my privilege lightly and help my clients feel validated and heard in their unique experiences.
My passion in my personal life is spending time with my family and friends. I also workout for my physical and mental health, play with my 2 dogs and enjoy traveling and exploring.
